Membership

Open to Sabahans who want to serve

PERKETHA membership is open to Malaysian citizens aged 18+ living in Sabah (all races, genders, and religions). The organisation may also appoint Honorary Members for individuals who have contributed to society and can support PERKETHA.

Fees (as stated in the constitution)

  • Entry fee: RM10
  • Annual fee: RM12
  • Lifetime membership: RM300

Governance and Accountability

Responsible leadership and controls

PERKETHA is governed through its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and a committee elected on a cycle as specified in the constitution.

Committee structure includes

  • Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson
  • Secretary, Assistant Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • 2 Committee Members

Financial controls (high-level)

  • Cash-on-hand limit and banking requirements
  • Joint signatory requirements for withdrawals/cheques
  • Annual financial statements prepared and audited as required
